The music he was playing was the most beautiful she had ever heard, and she began to get lost in a day dream of what it would like to be with him. She looked at the way his fingers seemed to dance over the strings, and how well built he was. Oh what it would be like to be wrapped up in his arms. Music dancing around in her head, she felt like she was floating on a cloud. But bringing herself to reality, Jessica felt like crying. The music was so beautiful. It was indeed the best she’d ever heard and she wasn’t even a fan of country music. Christopher made country sound like angels had turned hell upside down and flowers grow where she thought never would have grown before. 
She longed so badly for his music to be hers. For him to be hers. Oh they could make such beautiful music together. She wondered if their hearts could dance to the same tune. 
Christopher turned to see how Jessica's face lit up with excitement, but also saw a tinge of sadness. Something bittersweet lingered in her eyes. 
And then he began to sing.
Jessica sunk deeper into euphoria, as she realized that his voice was like an angel.
She felt a single tear slip down her flushed cheek. 
She had never felt so happy and so sad at the same time. It was all so confusing. The flutters of butterflies in her stomach elated her, but the realization that he wasn’t hers brought her down hard. Down back down to earth. It made her eyes sting and her throat burn to the point that it was hard to swallow.
